PASSION?

Photography is a profession that demanded his/her to be really passionate with. From my observation, I've seen and known a lot of photographers with different level of passion. There is this type of photographers who would only be passionate and motivated when he/she equip with new equipments or high end equipments. I would totally agreed that equipments play an important role in producing high quality photographs.Sometimes, a photographer might face a technical difficulty and left with very basic equipments. Should he stop from taking photographs? Should he panics?

This is a story of a bunch of photographers working in a private institution. They've been a photographer for nearly 4 years. Recently they've upgraded their equipments, wow! This is more than what they've been upgrading for their yearly equipments. For example, it is like from driving a Proton Saga to a Toyota Camry. I've seen how excited they're when the equipments arrived. They keep on talking about the equipments for weeks. By getting new equipments, i was hoping their quality of work should be better. The quality of photographs remain nearly the same when they started to work 4 years ago. There's no major improvement. Sadly, they've become more lazy.

A good photographer would always find a way to improve themselves technically or theoretically. A good photographer would also need to do a lot of practice besides their daily assignments. Practice makes perfect. A lot of practice and reading would make it even better. A photographer need to always create and reminded themselves that their love for this profession is very real. There's no WANNABE!

Being a lecturer and a photographer is even worst. There's lecturers who fall into a comfort which they don't take photograph anymore. He/she believe javascript:void(0)that students work is not as good as theirs. This also an issue on passion. I'll always pray to God that I've that will and interest in making sure I'm always passionate for my students and career.
